Join us in this workshop, which introduces participants to the alternative photography technique of anthotype printing, a process that uses natural pigments extracted from everyday plants and herbs to create photochemical reactions. Participants will learn how to extract pigments from materials such as turmeric, coat surfaces for exposure, design transparencies and stencils, and ultimately develop their own prints.
This is a two-day workshop offered to two different groups:
Day 1 – Pigment extraction, paper coating, designing transparencies, and collecting shapes
Day 2 – Sun exposure and print development
