The 'Routes and Roots' experimental lab proposes a living archive built at the scale of a shared meal. It will bring PPS’s (People, Places & Spaces) practice into dialogue with Liwan’s building: its courtyard, workshops, and labs become both stage and studio for relearning how we eat, design and remember - together. Drawing from Gulf foodways and Sufra traditions, Ayesha Erkin's work blends public dinners with hands-on making, field study with open research and development, and oral histories with film. Recipes, tools, vessels, and gestures become primary evidence.
