The evening explored the role of women as catalysts for change across business, design, and culture, while highlighting Cartier’s longstanding commitment to supporting women through initiatives such as the Cartier Women’s Initiative.
Opening remarks were delivered by Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al Thani, Deputy CEO & Chief Business Officer of Qatar Financial Centre, and Sophie Doireau, CEO of Cartier Middle East, India, Africa and Türkiye.
A panel discussion titled *Women as a Driving Force of Change* featured leading female voices from across the region, including Sheikha Hanadi bint Nasser Al Thani, Founder & Chairperson of Amwal; Ghada Al Subaey, Vice Chairman of Nasser Bin Khaled Al-Thani & Sons Group; and Liwan Director and Designer Aisha Al Sowaidi. The conversation reflected on female leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, and the evolving role of women in shaping cultural and economic landscapes.
The program also included a presentation by Wingee Sampaio, Program Director of the Cartier Women’s Initiative, alongside regional fellows of the initiative who shared insights into their work and impact across the fields of food, education, and healthcare.
The evening concluded with the unveiling of a special collaboration between Cartier and Qatari artist Alanoud Al Ghamdi titled “فيها مجتمع”, inspired by poetry written by Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani celebrating beauty, elegance, and womanhood.
Set within the historic halls of Banat El Doha, the gathering reflected Liwan’s ongoing commitment to nurturing dialogue, creativity, and community through design and culture.
