The theme of ‘Design and Resilience’ is a deep analysis of how design can be used to address today’s local and global challenges, from sustainability to climate change, and basic human needs related to identity, comfort, community, education, and dignity.
We also investigate how different art and design media, such as film, music, photography, food, and fashion, can represent resilience. And how design can be a tool for empowerment, organisation, and self-assertion, especially in conflict zones or environmental crises.
Our goal is to feature creatives and designers who are at the forefront of addressing today’s most pressing issues through innovative approaches.
